The End of the Year...

Some of my goals at the beginning of this year, was to improve English, learn guitar, get better score for my report, become taller and work on teams well. I think my English have improved, I learnt guitar and got higher score than before but my height is same. I didn't work well as a team. I take Tofle lesson to learn words and idioms. Also I worked hard on school projects. I tried to work on team well but it was not easy. Lack of conversation with team members and trouble with other teams.

Next year, I will work hard more and get higher grade than now. Also I will work hard with guitar too. I learned how to organize and get along with class mates well. I think my English had improved a lot. Evidence for that is my grades had improved a lot. Also I think I leaned many different words this year.

Final Task: Analysis!

Our ESL unit is 'Unit of Inquiry.' I chose 'quilting a doll' for my unit of inquiry topic. My essential question for this topic is 'How can I learn to make a doll by quilting and why will this affect other people?'

I worked on three different levels of Bloom's Taxonomy that we covered. Our first part is Knowledge. I did list materials are needed, describe skills and process by researching. I should analyze these clearly and neatly. The next part is Comprehension. What I did was comparing doll and tissue-case, explain materials and explain process of making doll. I had to analyze my information in Knowledge more further. The last one is Applicaiton. I wrote three to do list and chose 'constructing my own quilt doll.' In this part took much time than knowledge or comprehension. I made my own doll and show pictures of process of making doll.

My essential question for my topic is 'How can I learn to make a doll by quilting and why will this affect other people?' I can learn how to quilting and make it for other people. This can make friends more close with me and keep up my friendship. Also I could make it to present for others. Learning quilting will affect positive way for relationship between me and others.

My Interview

I prepared this interview in weekend to answer. I wrote some answer at home and practiced my own. I think I did pretty well, I tried to answer questions with enough information and  I answered all questions. But I should speak more clearly and confident. I didn't give enough information for some questions.

Lever 3: Application

My to do task was to make my own quilt doll and show pictures of making the doll. I successfully made my own doll. I create it in my own without any help. I took pictures in each step that I will use in my blog post. Also it was challenge for me to sew every single pieces carefully.

First, ready all the ingredients, scissors, fabrics, needle, pins, button and thread.

Draw the design of the doll on the fabric. Use erasable pen.

 Cut the fabric.

Sew ear part first, left space to turn over.

Then, sew face part.

Don'r forget to sew ear together inside.

Also left space to turn over.

Head

Next is the body, I used pin to hold the fabric.

Body

Put cotton inside of the head and body.

Then close the hold, make sure cotton to not come out.

Then add some details. I put button eye on it.

Stick it all together by sewing. I made ribbon for cat.

Welcome to My Unit Of Inquiry!

During this Unit Of Inquiry, what I am going to learn about is Quilting doll my essential question is How can I learn to make a doll by quilting and why will this affect people. The reason WHY I think it is important to learn this is can make it for others. The Area Of Interaction that this topic meets is human ingenuity because it's the project is making by human. I am a visual learner, so I will most likely choose activities that are show the each process by picture or drawing. Some activities that I will do to learn about this are: research about making doll and finding pictures. These activities will help me because I will learn about how to make doll.
